Jody Norman is an Urban Extension Specialist at Washington State University Extension whose work spans urban agriculture, sustainability education, and collaborative systems-building. At NUREC, she advances efforts to grow Extension’s urban capacity through partnerships, program development, and network building. She collaborated with a multi-university team to plan and produce the Grow[in] On Building-Integrated Agriculture Summit and supports professional learning opportunities that help integrate applied research and Extension practice in urban settings. Her work incorporates deliberative dialogue methods, applied research, and training programs focused on local food systems and urban resilience. She draws on a background in environmental planning, communications, and teaching to support the mission of NUREC and the broader urban Extension community.
