Dan Goldhamer

Dan Goldhamer’s professional career spans the public and private sector as a community educator, researcher, and entrepreneur. He currently serves as the Director of Programs for the Office of Engagement and Extension at CSU Spur and a co-research lead for the Metropolitan Agricultural Research Center. In these dual positions, Dan supports non-credit education, conducts research, and provides technical assistance to farmers and food entrepreneurs. Dan has a 15-year career in higher education working at Colorado State University, University of Colorado Boulder, and the Harvard Extension School. His previous roles include Research Associate, Instructor, and County Director. Dan also worked for three years in a regulatory capacity for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. His private sector work includes working on organic vegetable farms and founding a consulting firm.

Dan is a lifelong learner motivated by an intense curiosity. He graduated from Hampshire College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Agriculture and Community Development. He then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Soil and Crop Science from Colorado State University. While working full-time at Colorado State University, Dan also pursued a Master of Computer Information Systems and graduated with certificates in Business Intelligence and Business Application Development. Dan utilizes his skills in IT and data analytics to strengthen the impact and storytelling of his work with communities and other partner organizations.
