BIA Academy Digital Badge
Individuals who complete the BIA Academy course will earn a digital badge, issued by NUREC and Washington State University, which you can display on your LinkedIn profile, digital resume or portfolio. Digital badges provide a trusted, verifiable credential that allows learners to share their accomplishments with employers, colleagues, and professional networks.
Parchment digital badges are authenticated and verified using a combination for open data standards, embedded metadata and secure protocol frameworks.
- For employers and educators checking credentials manually, badges are shared via secure, hosted links. Clicking these links route the viewer directly to Parchment’s verification portal, bypassing any risk of user counterfeiting a certificate or image.
- Parchment integrates with global credential registries. Badges include a Credential Transparency Identifier (CTID), which maps the individual learner’s record to the aggregate, official information published by the institution. This creates an unalterable paper trail verifying that the program itself is accredited and real.
- Every badge issued adheres to the Open Badges standard (specifically OB3 compliance). This means the badge is not just a regular graphic; it has cryptographically secure, immutable metadata baked directly into the digital file.
