Dr. Allen A. Malone currently serves as the Associate Director for the Cooperative Extension Service at New Mexico State University. He is an Agricultural Economics graduate of Prairie View A&M University and holds a dual doctorate degree in Agricultural Education & Leadership from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.

Prior to joining the New Mexico State Cooperative Extension team, Dr. Malone served as the Administrator and Director of Alabama Cooperative Extension System at Alabama A&M University.

Dr. Malone has an extension career that expands over 30 years in which he has served in several capacities including Program Specialist for Agriculture and Natural Resources, 4-H Camp Director and as a County Extension Agent in Dallas, Fort Bend and Harris counties in Texas.  He is passionate about working with youth and continues to serve as an advocate and supporter of young people through his work at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, his local church and numerous youth committees and boards.

Dr. Malone has received numerous awards and recognitions for his visionary leadership to include a Vice Chancellors Award in Excellence from Texas A&M University, the Cooperative Extension Program Distinguished Service Team Award and numerous awards as a member of Epsilon Sigma Phi.
